8-11-10

Well, it has happened!  We now have all of our phone numbers back! We went without phone service 8/10/10 because the "old" phone company decided to cut off service before the "new" company could port the numbers!  The phone numbers are as follows:  (615) 365-3965 the main number and the fax line is (615) 365-9850.

6-16-10

An on-line letter only to our customers.

It’s all coming together! We are now in our new facility at 1205-B Antioch Pike, Nashville, TN  37211. Our phone number remains the same (615-365-3965) but our fax number has been changed to (615) 891-7343. We’re trying to get back the 615-365-9850 we’ve had all along. All are now working! Our first container will be delivered to our dock this afternoon! Correction! The container has been unloaded and the products are now in our warehouse. Its 4:26 on Wednesday afternoon and all went well! Our shelving is now in place, our computers are all working, our printer is ready to churn out shipping orders, our UPS system is in place, and by tomorrow, after our QC inspections and putting product on the shelves, we should be making our first shipments since getting flooded out May 1, 2010! Actually, a few orders were sent out today from stock not affected by the flood.

Our apologies for the problems with the phones. We have been using Birch Communications as our carrier for several years. After the flood we found them to be less than competent and most uncooperative. Therefore, we have switched to Comcast. We have asked Birch to give the old numbers to Comcast, and in the meantime, to relay our calls to the Comcast assigned number which I think is happening. This morning it all blew up, and calls were going to any place but here! I think it’s working now though. Please be patient. “3965” should reach us now. Many thanks again to all who expressed their concern for our recovery! I’ve spoken to many of you personally and feel the “family” is getting back together.

An online only letter to our customers.

Nashville is drying out…finally! We’re moving into a new building (on higher ground!) as I write this and are expecting the container before June 15th. We managed to salvage a few items, but we’re now waiting for a phone line to be put into the new building, our computers to be delivered and set up, and our shelving to be reconstructed. Most all of the inventory that was under water or in wet boxes has been sold to an account that is going to restore the items and offer them at exceptionally low prices. He will guarantee the quality. Thanks for all the emails of encouragement. I’ve tried to answer all of them. We do appreciate your business and hope to be your main source of quality products again soon.

An online only letter to our Customers.

A follow-up letter “post flood” got lost in the transition to our new location. We’re trying to find it and add to these posts. We are in our new building! 1205-B Antioch Pike, Nashville, TN 37211. We are awaiting phone service here which probably won’t happen until next Monday. There is the possibility that we’ll have the same phone and fax numbers. Our email address remains the same, www.worldmaxusa@aol.com. Our container hits Seattle, Washington today! We haven’t been advised of the ETA in Nashville yet…but we’re getting closer to being able to accept and ship orders. A back-up PO was sent to Taiwan today, but that merchandise won’t get here until sometime in July…if we’re lucky!

Thanks for your words of encouragement and your patience. We hope you’ve been kept in supplies by our dealers.

An  online only letter to our customers:

WOW!!! The rains came, they stayed, the creek rose, and Nashville made the national news media last Saturday, Sunday, and even Monday. It's called the flood of 2010. Our facility suffered near total destruction on the contents... Computers, phone systems, (Calls are now being forwarded to my home), Printers, Copiers, our server... nothing was spared as six feet of water flooded through our building. The good news? None of us were injured. Of course, a tree fell on Maggie's house, but that is another story.

What to do?  We are waiting on the claims adjuster to inspecet the damage in the next few days. The building will be gutted. We must re-locate. Wednesday and Thursday and Friday we will be checking out new facilities. (That are not in any flood zone!) And we might end up accross the street of where I started Pearl International those many years ago! We have a container leaving Tawian on the 15th, so, as they say, "time is of the essence!"  Please check this web site and we will try to keep y'all updated periodically. In the mean time, stay dry!

Walt, Liu, Mikki, Wendy, Maggie, and Candell

P.S.  Thanks for the many calls of encouragement!

Worldmax USA has just learned that Susan Lo, Director of Worldmax International, Taiwann, has lost her battle with Cancer and Passed away March 26 at her home in Taichung, Taiwan, R.O.C.

Susan retired early from over 30 years teaching in the public school system in Taichung to take over the reins of Worldmax, Intl. after her husband and founder David Lo passed away in 1999. She has been responsible for many inovations in the field of Percussion, the most notable being the introduction of the "Black Dawg" snare drum line. Her ready smile and "can-do" attitude were always an inspiration to those seeking support for their own enterpreneurial efforts. She will be missed. Her two daughters, Hera and Echo, will now carry on the tradition of honesty, integrity, and quality conscious dealings with the music trade.

An online only letter to our Dealers

First of all, I think we’re all glad that 2009 is now behind us!. We’re starting out 2010 with nothing but good news! We have no real price increases coming and in fact have lowered many prices on a majority of our products through the cooperation  of Worldmax International  in Taiwan. The new 2010 price list is now on line, and the net prices are now shown in our shopping cart for your convenience.

With Hi Hat opting out of Worldmax distribution, we will begin to stock some of the parts that they were selling.  In general, if a part went on a drum shell, we carried it. If a part went on a stand, Hi Hat carried it. If you have any of the latter items that you regularly use, please let us know and we’ll include them in our inventory. We want to be your major supplier of parts.

We are going to discontinue the red and yellow hoops and lugs, keeping only the white powder coated items. We are adding DC-016 claws, FL-35B leg brackets, FL-33G  Floor Tom legs, and SP-50 spurs in white powder coatings. Also, all sizes of 2.3 mm hoops , selected sizes of tube lugs and some regular die-cast lugs will be in the line in white. We’ve also asked for the B-3 butt and S-9X strainer to come in white to give some consistency in color to the complete drum.

To come in 2010: Worldmax International is investigating additional sizes of die-cast hoops, a re-introduction of the heavy duty S-8 Strainer, metal bass drum hoops in chrome, and more items will be available in satin plating. As always, Taiwan is responding to our needs and requests.

Sincerely,

WORLDMAX USA

An online only letter to our customers

It’s that time of year again! Everyone needs something yesterday and we’re bringing in extra product by air to try to keep y’all’s business ahead of the game.

As we wind down 2009, we’ll close on December 23rd and re-open January 4th. We will take a physical inventory within those dates and will be unable to ship until after the 4th.

The following Monday (1/11/10) we leave for Anaheim to set up the 2010 NAMM show. We are again in booth 2740 (between Zildjian and Pearl) in our (small in comparison) 400 square foot booth in Hall D. We’ll be heavy in snare drums this year, have a couple of kits for demos by Gary Ponder and guests again, and, of course, as many of our parts as will fit on two 10 foot long tables. Stands, pedals and thrones in popular price points will be on display and they’ll be available as stencil brands. The quality is superb and they compare most favorable to anything out there! Give them a look/see/try, as they can be a great source of extra profits for your custom drum business!

James Hsu, Worldmax’s product development manager, will be on hand to discuss any customizing of products you feel would benefit your business. Susan Lo’s daughters “Hera” and “Echo”, the next generation of Worldmax leadership, will also be on hand to take your compliments and complaints. The Johnston’s will round out the family and we hope to see y’all during NAMM.

Season’s Greetings and our wishes for a happy and prosperous New Year!

10-15-09

Greetings,Whatever could go wrong did go wrong! A computer software program I touted as the best thing to come down the pike turned out to be too complicated for us to handle. We’ve gone back to our old program and things seem to be coming back together. Unfortunately the whole episode totally messed up our purchasing and inventory control with the old “garbage in-garbage out” data. Yesterday, over a month late, the first of two shipments arrived. The second is leaving Taiwan next week…also quite late. This first container has put us in a good inventory position and we are shipping back orders as quickly as we can get them packed. We apologize for the obvious inconvenience this has caused you. Even bringing in air shipments over the past month was not enough to keep the supply chain flowing. We feel we’re now in a position to service all your needs and appreciate those of you who have stuck with us throughout this ordeal.

A positive note from our inability to ship in a timely manner has pointed out a couple of companies sniping at our customer base with extra discounts. Please rest assured we will do everything in our power to counter these moves and are now negotiating with our supplier in Taiwan to put us in a position of being able to compete with the discount being offered. We know that some of the competition is coming from Mainland China based companies and urge you to carefully compare quality as well as price. Our goal is to be your primary supplier and we’ll do whatever is possible to attain that goal.

Sincerely,

Worldmax USA

March 18, 2009

Greetings!

We’re well into the first quarter of 2009 and business seems to be holding up in spite of the rather bleak economic conditions we are all facing. It proves that we have something that is needed by enough builders and drum shops to keep the wolf away from the door! We hope your products are also enjoying continued growth and acceptance and we are pleased to be a part of your success!

It’s not a good time to increase prices, so we are going to pass on some cost savings we are getting on some very basic parts, namely tension rods and screws that have been going through the ceiling lately! Please check out these new prices on our site. We’ll get them on the shopping cart by the end of this week.

We continue to offer our services to help you produce your own proprietary products through our connections in Taiwan. We are also expanding our line of snare drum shells with segmented block construction using exotic African hardwoods such as seen in the current “Drum Business” magazine of Wenge wood segmented shell snare drum using 70 blocks of wood. This shell and others should be available at the summer NAMM.  We hope to see you there!

Sincerely,

Walt, Liu, Mikki, Wendy, Maggie and Candell

An on-line memo to our loyal customers.

We want to inform you of some policy changes effective January 1st., 2009.  All drop ship orders under $25.00 net (before shipping charges are added) will now be billed at $10.00 (drop ship fee). Orders over $25.00 will continue to be billed a $5.00 shipping and handling drop ship fee.

Also effective immediately for all returns an Return Authorization number (RA#) will be required. This number will be given to you at the time you notify us of the return. A restocking fee may be assesed if no RA# is obtained BEFORE the item is returned. The item may also be refused at our door if no RA number is noticed on the carton.

As always we look forward to working with you this year!

Thank you,

WorldMax USA

An on-line only memo to our customers.

Gentlemen (and Ladies, too!),

This memo concerns a situation that has gotten somewhat out of hand. We have been charging a fee of five dollars per shipment for drop ship orders. Even this amount has been questioned as being excessive, but a few accounts have been taking advantage of it and ordering parts to be drop shipped that do not meet our normal twenty five dollar minimum requirement. In fact, some orders for drop ship have totaled less than the fee! We’d like to continue to be of service to you, but must increase the fee to ten dollars per order on any drop ship order totaling less than twenty five dollars. Five dollars will remain the fee on orders totaling twenty five dollars or more.

Thank you for your understanding

WorldMax USA

December 23, 2008

This is an on-line only letter to our dealers.

2008 is winding down and we’d like to thank y’all for making this another banner year for Worldmax USA. In the face of our economic crisis, we have you to thank for going against the norm!

We will be closed December 24, 2008 through January 1, 2009. Business will be as usual beginning January 2, 2009. We look forward to seeing you in Anaheim, California for the NAMM Show. We are again in booth 2740 in Hall D right between Zildjian and Pearl. We’ll have many new snare drums on exhibit which are available through Mike Henry in Houston. Susan Lo, her daughter Hera, and James Hsu will join us from Taiwan. We’ll have enough new products to keep the visit exciting. Until then, we wish you the happiest of holiday seasons.Walt Johnston, Mikki Johnston-Couch, Maggie Kampa and Wendy Fike.

AN ON-LINE ONLY MESSAGE TO OUR CUSTOMERS

                     10/9/08

Perhaps it is just the time of year when our incoming shipments lag behind your order input. Back Orders seem to be a way of life and besides messing with your customer’s orders they present a challenging problem for our computer capabilities. In trying to get your ordered products to you as expediently as possible, with stock shortages we need to have a policy to handle what we do when you order 20 items and we can only ship 10.

Therefore, we will no longer try to hold orders until our next shipment comes in to complete your order. We will ship what we can of your order, back order the rest for arrival of our container, and complete your order at that time. Other than inconvenience, your cost will not be affected, as UPS charges by weight, and if we don’t ship some items, you simply pay less freight. The only exception to this policy is if you tell us in front that you don’t want the order unless it can be shipped in its entirety. We will then hold the order until all products are in stock, treat it as a new order, and ship when products become available after all back orders have been shipped.

Thanks for your understanding!

**July, 14, 2008**

WorldMax USA co-founder Arliss  Johnston passed away early Sunday Morning, July 13, 2008. She was 73 years old. With her husband, Walt, she helped countless custom drum builders expand their entrepreneour endeavers with behind the scenes compassion, humor and encouragement. She will be missed.

Thank you all for your prayers during her illness.

An online letter only for our customers

The container we’ve been waiting for arrived Tuesday, June 3rd, and contained almost everything we ordered. Some items simply would not fit and have been held for the next shipment now on the water. We will probably need to resort to an air shipment on some critical parts. We’ve been shipping backorders exclusively. We try to add current orders to backorders whenever possible to save you freight.  Thanks again for your patience.

If you think gas prices are rising fast, they have nothing on the cost of steel and manufacturing in Taiwan! Quite possibly the same is happening on mainland China, which will help level the playing field now potholed with their sometimes ridiculously lowball prices.

We were warned that our recent price increases would soon be obsolete in June, and on the 9th we received 8 more pages of changes effecting another shipment (mentioned above) on the water. Please check our on line price list before you make quotes as we will try to keep it up to date as changes occur. New prices will affect all shipments made beginning July 1. 2008.

An online only letter to our dealers

Growth is a nice problem to have, but it sure gets frustrating when out put exceeds in put! We’ve greatly increased our orders and still manage to run out of some items. We do appreciate your patience with our back order situation and want to assure you we are changing many of our approaches to better serve you in a more timely manner. And, the almost daily price increases coming out of Taiwan combined with a major adjustment in the exchange rate hasn’t helped! We did receive a small LCL shipment and have filled the possible back orders. We have an air shipment leaving Taiwan Saturday that will take some more of the pressure off our back orders.

Following are some pictures of the new powder coated hoops (red, yellow, white) and whatever other items I can download. We have been assured that a very full container will be leaving Taiwan on May 8. Quantities should ensure an adequate supply of everything, but I’ve been wrong before!

Thanks again for hanging in with us.

An online only letter to our dealers.

The price increases (and some decreases!) we advised you were going to happen are now happening! We will hold off any increases to you until April 15, 2008. At that time any products shipped will be at the new prices. Our online price list will be updated on April 15, 2008. The on line-shopping cart (OSC) will also be updated and its net prices will reflect the increases. Taiwan has held prices as long as possible and it seems that all of Taiwan’s percussion manufactures and agents have made March 2008 the month of price increases. Please check with us if you are committing to post April 15, 2008 price quotes. Anything we can ship before April 15th will be at current prices, but shipments April 15 on (new orders or back orders) must reflect the increases

Thanks for you understanding & continued support.

March 3, 2008:

Thanks for your patience! Our latest container arrived A week ago Friday and our efforts have been devoted to filling back orders. Another shipment is scheduled to head our way this week and it will put us in a healthy stock position.

Thanks again!

Walt, Arliss, Mikki, Maggie & Wendy

January 29, 2008:

To get into the shopping cart you must first be an authorized dealer/builder that we have on file. Once you register for our site and are approved, you will then be able to go to the shopping cart, where you will have to register again and then you will be able to buy. You do not have to register if you are just visiting the site to look around.

January 22, 2008:

The online ordering is back up and running! If you get an error message anywhere on this site, please copy and paste it and send it to us! We are working all the bugs out slowly but surely

January 11, 2008:

We have revamped our OSC with more security and made corrections to the prices. Since this is a totally new system, you will have to re-register. We will contact you when you may again order on line. It will no longer need to be your EIN number and you can create your own ID and password. We will e-mail you when you can log on. In the meantime, you can fax (615/365-9850) or e-mail your orders to us. Sorry for the inconvenience our changeover is causing. The new system should be up and running soon.

December 20, 2007

As in past years, WorldMax USA will close from December 24th. through January 1st. We will re-open for business on January 2, 2008. We wish y'all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We also wish to thank you for making 2007 our best year ever!

Arliss Johnston has been released from the Hospital and is now back at home! She still has many months of physical therapy ahead of her; she is doing well and is grateful for all your prayers.

October 19, 2007

Most of you have noticed that our hours of operation have been ending around 4:00 pm. This is because of an illness in the family, and as you know we are a family run business. Arliss Johnston has been fighting lung cancer with success! It’s been very rough on her and the whole WorldMax family. Today, she took a fall and broke her hip and required surgery on the 20th. She is in a local Nashville hospital doing satisfactory. Physical Therapy has started and she is on her way to recovery. It will be long and hard but we have no doubt she will over come this too. Walt her husband of 53 years has been with her as much as possible. We hope you understand the early closings and we thank you and welcome all your prayers.

Mikki (daughter #3)

Below is an online-only message to our dealers:

The Legendary Container arrived this week and we have started to ship back orders (oldest first) including any new orders whenever possible. We are holding prices on back orders, but we must pass along the increases beginning September 15th. Please see price list on this site and the OSC. Also, until we can integrate the new Satin, Aztec Gold, Wood Hoops, Butts and Strainers into a redesigned price list, please see page 7 for these items, some of which are new and in stock in limited quantites. We are shooting to have all back orders shipped by Friday, September 14, 2007. Thanks for your understanding.

August 17, 2007:

It never rains...it pours!

Taiwan going through some serious quality control problems and price adjustments, an illness in our family, a protracted heat wave, and a computer crash wiping out our online shopping cart are making us wonder when life will stabilize! Arliss is out of the hospital and recovering at home, the OSC is being fixed as I write this and should be up and running later today. Quality control problems are being addressed and corrected as the appear. The heat wave, not exclusive to Nashville, will soon pass and with any luck we will once again see what rain looks like! September must catch up with Taiwan's price increases, but we will keep absorbing what we can until it just hurts too much!

Thanks for your understanding and continued support! We are nothing without you!

Walt

July 17, 2007:

Dear Friends,

Please be advised that we have been hit with numerous price increases out of Taiwan. We are updating our on-line retail price list and shopping cart net prices as received. Please verify costs before quoting to your customers.

July 13, 2007:

Below is an online-only message to our dealers:

Following are some new products that we will have available over the coming months. Please call us for prices and availability.

Select sizes of tube lugs as well as die-cast hoops, strainers, and butt plates will soon be available in the new "satin-chrome" finish pictured here.

This new "Aztec Gold" finish will also be available for selected sizes of tube lugs, single-flanged hoops, collar hooks, strainers, and butt plates. It is a darker and richer gold color than our standard brass finish.

This is a new addition to the Black Dawg pack, a 5x14 drum with black and "Aztec Gold" hardware.

April 13, 2007:

Following are two important "ON-LINE ONLY" messages:

1:) As mentioned in our March 27, 2007 ON-LINE ONLY message, our price list #0407 is now #0407A, reflecting the additional increases from Taiwan.

2:) We have had some errors with the online shopping cart, which, according to the software people, are being caused by not updating the quantity when changes are made. Please remember, if you change a quantity, make sure you hit the update button each and every time.

Another container is due here the first week of May, and an LCL shipment now in L.A. is due next week. It looks like we need to put in another container load order to arrive mid June!

Thanks for you continued Support!

IMPORTANT PRICING INFORMATION

Dear Friends,

Our Taiwan factory has held price increases as long as possible in the face of increasing competition from Mainland China. However, plating costs and raw material costs have continued to climb and we must adjust some of our prices now to be effective April 1, 2007. We are in the process of posting the new prices on our web site price list and on our on-line shopping cart.

Please accept our apology for not being able to give you more warning, but a recent air shipment received last week, an LCL shipment on the water, and a container scheduled to leave April 3rd have necessitated this immediate action. While the container shipment has not been invoiced yet, those LCL items also in the container are reflected in the #0407 list. Once the container has been invoiced there may be additional items affected by the increased costs in Taiwan and we will relay them to you as soon as available. We will amend the #0407 price list to become "#0407A" at that time.

We do not intend to print and distribute the new #0407 price list, but you can download and print it from our web site if you feel more comfortable with a hard copy.

Thank you for your continued support!

December 4, 2006:

Below is an online-only message to our customers:

Dear Friends,

Another year is coming to a close, and once again you have helped make it another record year for us! We sincerely hope your business has also prospered. If you plan to attend the NAMM show in Anaheim January 18-21, 2007, please stop by our booth number 2740 in Hall "D" so we can thank you personally. If the floor plan stays the same, we are conveniently located between Pearl and Zildjian!

We are most pleased with your acceptance of our online shopping cart. If you have not taken advantage of being able to place orders online and immediately know the costs of everything, we urge you to sign up now. All we need is your business license or tax ID number (which will be your user name), your own unique password (4-10 alpha and or numeric digits), and your e-mail address (so our UPS program can advise you of a tracking number for your order). Unless we set this up in our system, you can't get in! Using it makes it easier on both of us.

Please check the "blems and bloopers" page on our site. The prices are incredibly low on many items that can make you more money. Today we are adding a number of hoops that have finish problems. They cannot be sold as is, but for those of you who strip the chrome from hoops to powder coat them in various colors anyway, you'll enjoy the extra profits!

FYI: We will be closed from December 26th through January 1st for inventory. Please place your orders accordingly. We'll ship through the 22nd of December.

Again, we thank you for your continued support and hope to see you in Anaheim!

Sincerely,

Walt, Arliss, Mikki

June 26, 2006:

Below is a copy of the mailing about price increases, sent 6/26:

Dear Worldmax USA customers,

The first of two containers will arrive in Nashville the first week of July. This should again eliminate our huge back-order list. Unfortunately, the additional price increases we advised you were coming are here! Because of the back orders, we will hold off the increases until the 15th of July to protect your margins on your back ordered products. We will also have to absorb the increases on new orders until July 14th shipments.

We will feed the new costs into our computer the weekend of July 15 - 16 to be effective on July 17, 2006. The Online Shopping Cart prices will also change then.

We've been told of raw material prices for brass and zinc going up from 10 - 30%. Plating costs are up 15%. You are familiar with such things as fuel surcharges, which contribute to costs. At least labor has not yet directly entered the equation!

We don't think both shoes have fallen yet, but hope the next container due in August will not be full of additional increases. So far only hoops, lugs, snare wires, black dawg snare shells and snare drums have jumped. The price list on our web site (www.worldmaxusa.com) will reflect the new prices July 17, 2006.

Our Purchase Order submitted the end of April was to fill a 40' container. Space restrictions at the factory necessitated using two 20' containers. It would have been nice if the order were evenly divided in half, but some items were more readily available than others. The first container has most all of some items and few if any of others leaving the second container to complete the PO! At least it's following in a month. I guess back orders will always be a way of life, although the size of our PO was our desperate attempt to eliminate them. 40' of nuts and bolts is a lotta nuts and bolts!

Thanks for your continued support!

PS. We need your e-mail address! Please fax, snail mail or e-mail to us. Worldmaxusa@aol.com. You'll get important info in real time!

June 6, 2006:

Our Online Shopping Cart (OSC) is now ready to accept orders!

We hope we've covered all the bases, but there's still the telephone/fax/email to fix any problems. Please be aware that once you submit an order, it cannot be added to or adjusted. Any last minute additions will be new orders. If done promptly we may be able to ship the new order with the original, but it would be best for you to review and finalize your thoughts before clicking on submit.

We will continue to charge a $5.00 fee for drop shipments and will enforce the $25.00 minimum per order (other than drop ships).

2006 is ahead of 2005 volume and we thank you for your continued support! We trust this OSC will help continue the climb up the charts. If we're doing better, you must be too!

May 23, 2006:

What a difference a day makes!

5/22/06 5/23/06

With but one exception, everything we ordered came in and we are filling and shipping your BO's now. We will soon have our online shopping cart site opened. Please send us your username (EIN number), a password (4-10 alpha-numeric characters)of your choosing, and your e-mail address to take advantage of this program.

May 19, 2006:

As mentioned in last December's letter, we will soon have online ordering capabilities, following is our most recent mailing on the subject. 5/19:

Dear WorldMax USA customer,

Beginning soon, you can take advantage of our new on-line ordering system complete with a shopping cart to accumulate the items you want! You'll also have an immediate dollar amount of your order "sans" any shipping charges. And, we've tied the order into a UPS service that will e-mail you all the tracking information once your order has shipped

To accomplish the above, we need three things:

1) Your EIN or business license number (user name)
2) A "password" you create 4 - 10 alpha and/or numeric characters
3) Your e-mail address

Re: 1) Our web site (www.worldmaxusa.com) is available to anyone with Internet access. It includes our MSRP price list with coded discount percentages. Our new shopping cart will require a "user name and a password" to enter since our online ordering program will show Net prices (your cost) which we don't want anyone other than you, our authorized OEM dealer to know.

A number unique to you is your "EIN" or business license number. *If you want to participate in this easier way to order and know how much you are spending, please fax/e-mail/or USPS us your "user name and a password." We will register it with the shopping cart program. When you are ready to order, it will admit you to the ordering program. Without your number pre-registered, you will not have access to the program. Once entered there will be no stamps to lick, and no lists to prepare. Just point, enter a quantity, click and move on! A "read me" list will be e-mailed to you on receipt of the 3 things we need.

Re: 2) If you wish, your email address will be entered into our UPS shipping program to automatically e-mail you the status of your shipped order

So please take a few moments to submit your EIN (or business license) number, a "password" you create and your e-mail address. We'll put a notice on our site when this "new way to do things" is ready to fly.

Sincerely,

WorldMax USA

* And you can create your own unique password using from 4 - 10 alpha and/or numeric characters. it could be your birth date, street address, or first name.

Sincerely,

WorldMax USA

Below is a copy of our most recent mailing sent 4/27:

Dear WorldMax USA Customer,

No one likes to hear "prices are going up," but raw material cost increases overseas can no longer be absorbed. Effective May 1, 2006, a number of items are being affected. We have also been advised that if raw material costs continue to rise at the current rate, a further price adjustment might be necessary at the end of the year. Please visit our web site as the price list will be updated on the first of May 2006. If you don't have internet access, please request a hard copy of the price list to be mailed to you when available.

Sincerely,

WorldMax USA

April 11, 2006:

A "heads up" on some upcoming price adjustments:

The "SL" series hoops do not "nest" like the "S" series super hoops. We have encountered too many instances of damage in shipping, and as a result we have changed the packaging, which has seriously affected our costs. Therefore, we must increase the prices of these popular hoops. The new models will have a "P" after the model number, i.e. SL-2314-10P, and will ultimately replace the ones without the "P" as our standard "Slingerland Style" hoops. When we run out of the regular SL series we will automatically convert your order to the new "P" series unless you specify otherwise. See new "P" prices below:

Model # List $

SL-2308-4P 28.00
SL-2310-6P 28.00
SL-2312-6P 30.50
SL-2313-6P 31.25
SL-2314-8P 31.90
SL-2315-8P 34.50
SL-2316-8P 35.00
SL-2318-8P 37.50

December 1, 2005:

Below is a copy of our most recent mass mailing:

Greetings! May we start by thanking you for making 2005 our best year ever! We hope in some small way that we have been instrumental in making 2005 a banner year for you, too!
We now have a web site! www.worldmaxusa.com, which gives a brief history of Worldmax International, Worldmax USA and Worldmax US. It introduces us to you, lists our distributors who serve the hobby drum builders who have not yet decided to "go into business" and features our parts catalog. The "LINKS" are under construction and will soon feature a daily updated list of out of stock items with their ETA's, a listing of new products not yet catalogued and any price corrections to our current price list. At some point in the future, you will be given a password allowing you to place orders directly on line.
Effective January 1, 2006, our terms will be changing for the better for some of you. Our "open account" terms of "Net 10" will disappear. In its place will be "2%10/net 30". If you pay within 10 days you may then deduct 2% from the invoiced products! Example: $200.00 of product with $15.00 UPS charges (total $215.00) you may deduct $4.00 if paid within 10 days and pay $211.00! If you put the invoice on your credit card, we will automatically deduct the 2% from your credit card charge. If not paid in 10 days, the total invoice is due in 30 days, after which it will be subject to 1=% interest (18%APR) billed on the last day of the month. We have been charging this interest on accounts over 60 days old the last half of 2005. With the cost of money rising we must make this change. COD and CCOD invoices will not reflect the 2% discount.
We have a number of new products which will be displayed in Anaheim during NAMM 2006. Please plan on visiting us in booth 2740 Hall D January 19-22, and thanks again for your continued support,

Worldmax USA
